Hola y gracias antes de todo, me llamo Oscar
Veo que muchos han tenido el mismo problema con los drivers de ACER.
La cuestion es que he tenido que formatear el disco duro y reinstalar todo. Al reinstalar XP me pide los drivers que no encuentra. Voy a la pagina de ACER y descargo todo lo que hay para ACER T660 (audio, chipset (??), LAN, WLAN y modem). Yo pensaba que en MODEM estaria el controlador de ethernet, pero NOOO!!!. El driver de video lo descargare cuando funcione internet porque es un fichero grande.
Alguien sabe donde puedo conseguir el driver del controlador ethernet ???? porque en la pagina de ACER no esta, la pagina en cuestion es http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/aspire_t660.html

Pues si que está (y de hecho tu lo has puesto en tu lista). El controlador Ethernet es el controlador LAN y el de la tarjeta WiFi es el WLAN. El controlador del MODEM es eso, el del Modem, que es otra cosa (conexión a la RTB). | |  |  | (0 v.) | | |

Gracias Josito,
En el zip de LAN, hay los siguientes ficheros: .cat, . sys, .htm, .inf, .txt.
Abrí el txt para ver que tenía que hacer pero no entendí un pijo (I don't speak inglish de los güeps)
3 Installation

3.1 Installing the driver
Read the installation instructions in the adapter manual carefully.
Follow these instructions to install the adapter in your computer.
Due to the plug & play facility, the operating system is able to find,
identify, and configure an adapter automatically.
If the adapter is not detected during installation by the operating system the
adapter is installed as "Ethernet Controller" under "Other Devices".
To install the driver you have to perform a driver update as described
in the next section.
(me cuenta, creo, que el sistema operativo no detecta el adaptador durante la instalacion, mira la siguiente seccion)

3.2 Updating the driver
To update the driver, proceed as follows:
1. On the desktop right click on MY COMPUTER.
2. Select MANAGE.
3. In the "Device Manager" select the adapter you wish to update.
4. Double click.
5. Select DRIVER.
6. Click UPDATE DRIVER ... .
7. Follow the instructions given by the operating system to locate the driver.
8. If the driver which is found to be the latest is not the one you want
to install, select the checkbox "Install one of the other drivers".
9. Click NEXT.
10. Select the driver to be installed in the next listbox.
11. Click NEXT.
If a message is displayed saying that the driver is not digitally signed
by Microsoft, click YES.
12. The message "Windows has finished installing the software for this
device" is displayed.
13. Click FINISH to complete the installation.
(entré en administrador de dispositivos -> actualizar controlador (ethernet) y busque la carpeta donde estaban los ficheros de LAN, pero ná de ná. Como lo hago???)

Quiere decir que en el Administrados, en la tarjeta, vayas a Actualizar controlador. Lo buscas en la carpeta donde has descomprimido los drivers. Lo que tienes que marcar es el archivo .inf, que es el que tiene la información de los controladores. | | | | (0 v.) | | |
