Problema con thunderbird 2.0.0.19

Mi problema es el siguiente: tengo instalado thunderbird 2.0.0.19 sobre windows xp todo funciona perfectamente pero al momento de darle un archivo para que lo adjunte como firma deja de enviar correos simplemente se queda enviandolo y nunca acaba. ya probe desinstalandolo y actualizando hasta la version que tengo pero el problema sigue ayuda por favor

El archivo de la firma debe ser texto, html o imágen (jpg,png, gif).
