Problema al instalar VMware

Windows XP Home .

He instalado en Windows XP la maquina virtual VMWare que simula a Ubuntu pero al abrir el archivo .vmx me dice:

VMware Workstation cannot open one of the virtual disks needed by this VM because it is larger than the maximum file size supported by the host file system. Some remote file systems do not support files larger than 2 GB, even though the file system on the server might.
Cannot open the disk 'D:\Ubuntu 8.04 English\Ubuntu.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.
Reason: The file is too large.

me podeis ayudar?????????¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Hola PALOMA88, has definido una máquina virtual con un disco que tiene un tamaño más grande que el máximo soportado por el sistema operativo anfitrión, verifica en la definición de la máquina virtual el tamaño del disco duro y usa otro más pequeño
